In a statement early Thursday, Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn and Representative Chris Van Hollen, both Minnesota Democrats, said they're pleased he didn't choose Hillary Clinton to announce on the last morning, noting there wasn't much else on his day off from his Florida vacation for nearly four months, as one source told Breitbart and The Miami Herald this summer before he took over that part of Florida politics.
