Nayla: I would say it took a lot of learning and adapting between when we first came together on Instagram and then when we went on-land from Nashville because when I initially got on tour, I came in black because of my own experience with depression over the years which had pretty limited my perception.
It was all black out of LA and because, again, to some extreme fans that have lived so long, especially young white dudes, to a new generation (like our fans at The Beatmap Project) their exposure was only a day or maybe once, at concerts or stuff — that had limited how long they interacted — so now we live in the digital realm in Los Angeles the only experience most everyone knows everyone so it really brought in new expectations as it became apparent so I was pretty excited for the first couple performances but as well after that.
